Edilma Yearwood

Dr. Edilma L. Yearwood, PhD, RN, PMHCNS-BC, FAAN, is a distinguished, tenured Professor, Interim Program Director for the new PhD in Nursing, and former Chair of Professional Nursing Practice at Georgetown University School of Nursing and Health Studies. A certified psychiatric-mental health clinical nurse specialist with over 30 years' experience, her focus is on child/adolescent mental health, underserved populations, health equity, and social determinants of health, using qualitative, community-based research on immigrant families, youth violence, and microaggressions, and she serves as editor for Archives of Psychiatric Nursing.
