Objective: To evaluate the effect of the LEARNS health education model on self-management ability, well-being and quality of life in patients after percutaneous coronary stent implantation.
Methods: A total of 112 patients undergoing percutaneous coronary stent implantation were randomly divided into experimental and control groups (n=56 each). The experimental group received LEARNS model-based health education, while the control group received routine education. Outcomes were assessed at 1, 3 and 6 months after discharge using the Coronary Heart Disease Self-Management Scale (CSMS), General Well-Being Scale (GWB) and a self-management rating scale.
Results: Significant time, group and interaction effects were observed in all scale scores between the two groups (P<0.001). The experimental group achieved significantly higher scores than the control group at all follow-up time points (P<0.05).
Conclusion: The LEARNS health education model effectively improves postoperative self-management ability, subjective well-being and quality of life among patients with percutaneous coronary stent implantation.
